Hungarian citizens are invited to apply for the scholarship of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Students can apply to do BA/BSc, MA/MSc, and PhD degrees either in the Azerbaijani, English or Russian languages. For students whose knowledge of the tuition language does not meet the requirements, preparatory courses are organized. The duration of such courses is from 6 months to one year and determined by the admitting higher education institution. Costs of these courses are covered by the scholarship program as well. To travel to Azerbaijan, a person over the age of 18 must have a COVID-19 passport (a document confirming full vaccination or immunity gained while recovery from the disease) and a negative result of the PCR test given within 72 hours before the flight. Those under the age of 18 are required to have a negative PCR test for COVID-19 given only 72 hours before the flight.

Show moreThe students, who have received the scholarship granted by the Republic of Azerbaijan for the citizens of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement, give online presentations about their countries to Azerbaijani schoolchildren. On December 17, 2021, Adam Mamadou, a student of the Azerbaijani University of Languages, presented his country, Niger. He covered such topics as the geography, history, culture and nature of his homeland. At the end, Adam answered to many questions of the participants. The project aims to let the scholarship-receivers share their cultures and to increase cross-cultural understanding and global awareness of Azerbaijani schoolchildren.
