Baku State University is the only high educational institution of the Republic of Azerbaijan that has taken a place in the QS World University Rankings since 2012. Currently, BSU ranks 801st place among 1000 of the world’s top universities. Meanwhile Baku State University holds 142nd position in the QS EECA University Rankings 2019 among 300th top universities from emerging European and central Asian study destinations.

UNEC has been the leader in Azerbaijan in the ranking announced by UniRank ranking agency in August. Also UNEC has ranked 192nd in the ranking of “Top 200 Universities of Asia” made by the ranking agency. UNEC which   ranked 788 th   in the world ranking of UniRank rating agency, has passed ahead of   Ataturk University of Turkey, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology of China and   Chung-Ang University of Korea and many Asian and European universities. French-Azerbaijani University and the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University are participating in the 6th International Education Fair organsied by the EduGuide since 2015 and hosted by the Marriott Courtyard Hotel Tbilisi. The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of the Republic of Angola approved on October 10, 2017, the Regulation of the Alumni & Friends Association of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University. It is worth noting that 65 Angolans graduated from ASOIU named as Azerbaijan Oil and Chemistry Institute back then. Among them is Jose Eduardo dos Santos, who has been the president of Angola for 38 years. The Association is the first and only entity established in the Republic of Angola, which brings together alumni of foreign countries. Some objectives of the organization are to preserve and develop relations with ASOIU, implement joint projects in different directions in Azerbaijan and Angola, as well as enable Angolan youth to receive higher education at ASOIU. Moreover, the Association has declared the establishment of partnership relations with educational institutions, state and private entities in the oil and mining sector of Angola, Azerbaijan and other countries as one of its main goals. The activities of the Association are guided by principles of democracy, freedom, solidarity, mutual respect and equality. The presentation ceremony regarding the official commencement of the activity of the Association is planned to be held soon.   © ASOUI 2017
