Mammad Talibov, the ambassador of our country to Mexico, met with the students of Matamoros Institute of Technology, which is the most advanced and prestigious engineering training institution located in the city of Matamoros, as part of his visit to the state of Tamaulipas of Mexico. A broad presentation about Azerbaijan was held during the meeting with the participation of Elva Vigil Hernandez, a member of the Mexican-Azerbaijani Friendship Group operating in the Mexican Chamber of Deputies, and Mrs. Mara Grassiel Acosta Gonzalez, the rector of the Matamiris Institute of Technology. In the presentation, Ambassador M. Talibov informed the event participants about Study in Azerbaijan opportunities, experiences and scholarship programs available in our country for foreign students. For the academic year 2023-2024, 29 people received the right to study in Azerbaijan's higher education institutions within the framework of Intergovernmental Scholarship Program. 18 citizens of the People's Republic of China, 2 citizens of Hungary, 6 citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and 3 citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan received the opportunity to study in Azerbaijan. Students will study  at bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels of humanitarian and social in the fields of education, medicine, economy and management, culture and art at  ADA University, Azerbaijan Languages University, Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University, Azerbaijan Technical University, Azerbaijan Medical University, Baku State University, Baku Slavic University.  We sincerely welcome them and wish them good luck in their academical journeys!

Lebanese teachers and students have visited our country A delegation of Kavashra high school operating in North Akkar Governorate of Lebanon visited our country. Within the framework of the visit, Deputy Minister of Science and Education Hasan Hasanli met with representatives of Kavashra High School. During the meeting, the opening of the "Azerbaijan room" in the mentioned institution was highly appreciated. The guests also visited the Baku European Lyceum and got acquainted with the conditions created in the institution, as well as the teaching process. While showing interest in the conditions and the teaching process of Azerbaijani education system, the delegation was given brochures which carried information about Study in Azerbaijan opportunities and scholarship programs and was informed about Higher education institutions and their requirements. Later, the delegation that visited the STEAM Innovation Center was informed about the activity of the enterprise.

"International Education Grant named after Heydar Aliyev" program is launched. Starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, 100 educational grants will be awarded annually for a period of 5 (five) years. The citizens of the eligible countries can apply to the program. The eligible countries are member countries of the Islamic Cooperation Organization and Non-Aligned Movement, countries included in the group of Small Island Developing States, as well as countries where nations and national minorities living there have ethnic, historical and cultural ties with Azerbaijan. The program includes preparatory courses, bachelor's (main (basic higher) medical education), master's (residency), and doctoral levels. The grant covers tuition fees, visa, registration, dormitory or apartment rent, daily meals, provision of educational literature, use of transportation (except taxi service), utilities, medical assistance, and travel to the countries of the recipients of educational grants once a year.
